Join us to witness a mock employment tribunal unfold…
With the help of the Outset and Primed employment teams, a previous Tribunal Judge, Nicholas Moore and a Barrister from Field Court Chambers, our mock employment tribunal will give attendees a flavour of what it’s like to attend a tribunal in real life, observing a final hearing without the usual risks.
There continues to be a rise in employment tribunals, with 117,900 claims made in 2020/21 – the prospect of facing one can be daunting unless you’ve been there before (which we hope you haven’t!). It can be difficult to imagine what it’s like to present a case coherently, be examined and cross-examined, along with preparing the evidence you need to the judge and panel.

Case introduction
Harriet Redman was a rising star in the Tetris Crane Company – that was, until her summary dismissal in March 2022 for falling foul of the company’s strict rules on drugs & alcohol.
In a bold move, and continuing to profess her innocence, Harriet has by-passed the company’s appeal process and headed straight for the Employment Tribunal.
Tetris meanwhile have offered up a robust defence, and are adamant that their actions have been based upon fair reasons and processes.
Join us as we delve into the case, and play out the final hearing on 25 May 2023 (with a real life barrister and employment tribunal judge).
This morning workshop will include:
- The hearing bundle, sent in advance
- Breakfast and free-flowing refreshments
- Interactive session – a chance to discuss your perception of the evidence and predict the outcome of the case
- Free parking
- Access to the Outset and Primed employment team
- Insight from an employment Judge
